The Wargear was cool yeah, that's why it was copied and improved in DoW II. Relic learned the lesson to just stick with one group of heroes, which you can tweak yourself all the time with skills and stat points and which are bantering with each other in JA-style (so the devs could give more than just a single hero some personality). At least if they're still planning on releasing more free DLC.Īgain, the DC/SS retinue (aka the Honor Guard I talked about) destroyed any challenge it's almost like starting a skirmish map with an extra starting army. GfWLive was on the cover of DoW II as well, I'll bet they're still using Steam for this. That retreat button is never a get-out-of-jail free card in multiplayer/skirmish either. And it isn't the traditional spam-all-you-want fest of the first DoW and addons, no buildings here, your squads are your resources/research buildings combined, far more involving and fun than doing the old RTS tricks again.
